Ivelina Dimova will talk about advanced debugging in her first ever visit to Croatia. We talked with her about her work, her talk and her travel experiences.

Ivelina Dimova is a well–known name in the WordPress world. She spoke on numerous WordCamps, including a few WordCamps Europe but she has never been to Croatia – until now. Her talk about advanced debugging is probably one of those talks that developers want to hear, so without further ado – let us introduce Ivelina. Buy your ticket before Friday to get your T-shirt in the size you want!

Being the biggest WordCamp in Croatia so far, we have a lot of T-shirts to print. Yeah, a lot. As we have already sold more than 200 tickets (meaning this will be the *biggest* WordCamp in Croatia to date) this also means that our T-shirt printing deadline is coming closer. Everyone who buys their ticket before this Friday, August 25th, will get his or her T-shirt in the size they selected. Those who will purchase their ticket(s) after Friday will still get the T-shirt but (probably) in the bigger size that they would like to have. Ivan Brezak Brkan is one of those guys who is part of the ever-growing Croatian IT scene for years and whatever you think about him – you cannot be indifferent. Some of us know him from his early days, writing for Bug and Mreža — both well established and respected Croatian IT magazines — and some of us may know him while writing for Techcrunch. But that was before he started his “pet project” Netokracija – now a leading Balkans tech blog often referred as “The Techcrunch of the Balkans”. 12 besplatnih radionica za djecu i odrasle

Miroslav Mađarić – we underestimate the need and the power of collaboration

Miroslav Mađarić – we underestimate the need and the power of collaboration

One of the talk submissions we got this year was the one from Miroslav Mađarić, so far the oldest and most experienced of all the speakers that talked at any of the previous WordCamps in Croatia. We are delighted to have Miroslav with us this year with a topic about WordPress being a perfect tool for idea crowdsourcing. We talked with Miroslav about his early years as a student in 1970 towards what he does today – innovation management. Alexandra Draghici comes from Romania where she works as a product manager for 123ContactForm — the creators of very popular plugin for building forms in WordPress — CaptainForm. I met Alexandra for the first time in Vienna on last year’s WordCamp Europe and once more on WordCamp Belfast where she gave a talk about the user interface messages we commonly see and interact with. Her talk in Zagreb will be different than most of the previous ones, as she will be speaking about her personal WordPress experience in a story you shouldn’t miss. Today we’re talking with Alexandra about some of these experiences. Continue reading “Alexandra Draghici talks about the benefits of public speaking, to her past experiences – good and bad”
